Title: What is to tight?

How tight do you tighten your scope rings ?? In inch pounds. All the instructions say is "Don't over tighten". gman

Personally I think it is about "feeling" rather than a number. For me, I stop tightening when I feel a good amount of resistance on the screws. That's just me though.

Last set of instructions I read said 35 in/lb. for the horizontal screws and 10 in/lb. for the vertical.

Same here. After years of wrenching you kind of get a good feel for the "Human Torque" factor.

Talked to Mfg. Rings 16" to 18" in lbs. gman
