Title: Drager 45 Minute 4500psi Tank
Post by: josixpack on May 24, 2016, 01:51:51 PM
I ordered a Drager 45 Minute 4500psi Tank off ebay.  Had it hydroed for $26.00 and filled for $12.00.  It's brand new never used but manufactured in 2008 so it only has 7 years left on it.

I used 1 1/4" pvc to make the stand and sprayed the stand with bed truck liner and used the scuba tank strap to hold it all together.

Turned out great!

Good stuff! I like the stand!

I just picked up the 60min drager (same seller on ebay I'm sure).
I was going back and forth from the same bottle you got to the 60min. The "unused" of the 45 sounded a little safer. But the 60 came in great condtion (Im happy).
Got mine back from hydro today.......Looks like you got a better deal than me.
Hydro for me was $30 and the fill was $15
I decided to get a JoeB slow fill valve for my tank (man is it nice)! I sold the original SCBA valve to a friend to recoup some $$.
Now going to cascade when at home with three other bottles.
As far as a stand I found these on ebay (not bad for $21). http://www.ebay.com/itm/152073695884?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT (http://www.ebay.com/itm/152073695884?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT)
Stands and tank net should be here in a day or two. Nice to have more air on hand, next is a compressor.

All finished:

I will need advise on fill systems.

I bought one of those exact same 45 min tanks a few years back. I bought the fill hose and setup from Joe. You can piece together your own fill adapter and hose, but it wouldn't be near as nice for very little savings. That slow fill valve would be nice, but I'm use to mine now.
