Title: Lothar Walther barrel .22 cal.
Post by: kick96 on May 19, 2016, 06:44:22 PM
Hello everyone,

I have a question about Lothar Walther barrel .22 cal.
Do I need to make a new crowning of the barrel?
The barrel is brand new.
The barrel sent empty "Lothar Walther" from Germany to tukiet and they make them ready. Is it true?

Best regards of sweden.  8)

There is indeed a Walther weapons manufacturer in Germany.  Lothar Walther barrels are produced in Cumming, GA, USA.  I believe Lothar is a grandson of the German Walther founder.

YES the blanks are just that ....
While they do lathe turn and debur both ends, there is not really what i would say a crowning job done.
Also the one end that is Stamped IIRC is the breech end with the Choked end being unmarked.
* Push a pellet BOTH WAYS making sure which end is choked before machining it to fit action.

Actually the GA address is just the USA distribution...  I think they only do a few AR barrels there....  Most of the LW barrels are made in Germany and shipped here....
