Title: Bob Sterne Entry
Post by: rsterne on May 06, 2016, 09:09:15 PM
I finally got a chance to get out to the range to sight in my guns for Ground Squirrel and Marmot hunting.... I took three PCPs with me, my Hatsan AT-44 Long in .25 cal, and my two regulated HPA conversions, the 2260 and 2560.... The Hatsan is shooting the new 34 gr. JSB King Heavies in the mid 900s, the 2260 is tuned to shoot the 18 gr. JSB Heavies at 960 and the 2560 shoots the 25 gr. Kings at the same velocity.... While I was at the range, I shot one N.U.A.H. target with each gun at 100 yards, and the results are below.... I like the Yellow target, you can see the bullet holes quite well at 100 yards.... All three targets and guns qualify as "Marksman"....

Here is a photo of my bench setup, and a couple of the range I have set up....

I can shoot from either side of the picnic table....

In the photo below the targets are at 15 and 35 yards....

and in this direction, they are at 50, 75, and 100 yards....

Here at the guns I shot today....

All three guns were shooting well under an inch at 50 yards, and to be truthful I wasn't shooting for groups today and the wind was variable 3-7 mph.... so I am quite pleased with those results.... I'm ready to head out to the local ranch in search of Varmints now....

The mold for the 100 gr. bullet is on the way, so I may be able to cut the chamber in the Monocoque soon....

Bob

I know you will update us when the first shot is taken and welcome to the club as well.

I need to put some paper out at our 100 yards spinner at our FT sight in range and become a member myself. We have a 3" spinner at 100 yards that my 22 cal AT44 hits repeatedly using JSB 18.13s.
