I met a gentleman that has an old Wischo 55. He will sell me the working action but is missing the stock. Not much info on this rifle. Does anyone know where I could get such a thing and is it the same stock as one of the older beeman/HW rifles?
Any information is greatly appreciated. I posted this in the German gate but didn't get a single hit.
Thanks,
Higgs

The BSF rifles would have a different stock than any Beeman or HW-branded gun. Eventually (mid-90's?) BSF was bought out by HW and some "hybrid" guns were sold in the U.S. under the Marksman name but info is real hard to find on exactly which models had exactly which HW vs BSF components.
BSF models 55, 60, and 70 all used the same action with barrel length being the only significant difference, so a stock from any of the three would work...small comfort, as all of them are kinda scarce these days.
Best of luck in your search!

Oldair,
I got a little lucky. The gentleman that was selling the Wischo had the most important part of the stock. I can get the inletting measurements off the piece I have left.
By the way, the man has a webly hawk mk3 he wants to sell. Anybody interested?

Glad it looks like you will be able to get this one back in action.
Back in the 60's these were about the hottest things around. Robert Law at Air Rifle Headquarters was a big promoter.
Let us know how it works.

I have a Wischo Bavarria 55-n. It was made in Erlangen Germany. It is a 1968 to 1971 era air rifle in .177 caliber. Still shoots great but missing elevation part of rear sight. It has the base to mount a scope, it came with the rifle. If anybody knows of what scope I can use or where I can find the missing part of rear sight. Please post any recommendations. I imagine yours is basically the same. Yours looks to have the same rail as mine. When I got My 55-n, I used molybdenum [ used to call it dri-slide] to try to make it shoot faster and ballistic putty to chrono the results. Funny thing it did shoot faster, but if you were over zealous, you blew out breech seals. They used to be made out of leather or felt, you had to trim them to fit. When I could no longer find them, I wound up using o rings. They work pretty good no blowby. Btw the stock has checkering just below where yours is missing.
