Not too much information on this one. Does anyone know where I might get a stock for this rifle? OR, if it really is the same rifle as the old hw55? If so, would that stock work for it? I have the opportunity to buy one that needs a stock. I have not seen it though.
Thanks,
Higgs

You can always have one made. : ;)

Thanks Yogi,
I can actually make a stock but without knowing all the measurements for the inletting, it is quite a chore. It would be so much easier to find and buy one. Plus, I don't think the gun is worth tremendous amount of money.
I just realized the title of my post is misspelled. Haha, I'll fix that. "Whisco" not Wisconsin...

I have a Wischo 55n that I bought new in 1964. it is a good gun, but unless the one you are looking at is pretty much free I'd pass it up. There is no way it will fit in a HW 55 stock.

A few measurements could help identify a near facsimile stock that could be modded.

Well, not sure why I bought it. I didn't pay much and he did have part of the old stock which will be useful for inletting a new one. I did take one shot with it and it functions. I'll have to think about what to do with this one...

I forgot to mention, the same guy has a webley hawk MK lll he wants to sell. I don't think I'm interested but he want at least 100$. Anyone know what it's worth. He refinished the stock at some point.

If you change your mind, I would like to buy it .

That Wischo 55 could be a good gunstock making project. I am only a hobby stockmaker, but it would not be that difficult. You can use the profiles of your other airguns as a guide. I think that Webley Hawk at $100 is a good deal. I have a set of unused spare spring and seals for the Wischo 55 if you are interested. I sold my rifle before I needed to overhaul it.

Airjason,
Thanks for the offer. I just sold the rifle to pelletpoor from the post above yours. Perhaps he will be interested in the rebuild parts. The stock did not look terribly hard to make, and it was my plan to make one myself. The Wischo is a cool little rifle and more interesting to me than the Webley. Do you know what the Hawk should sell for? I suppose I could make him an offer and resell the Hawk. It's in good shape and would be a good piece to a Webley collector.

Higgs, I was mistakenly thinking of the Webley Vulcan which is a better air rifle than the hawk. From what I just looked up, the Hawk has many problems with them. Better not to touch it.
