No shipping horror story here. The HW35K I ordered from Krale's arrived today in perfect condition. There was a small tear in the outer box, but nothing got to the inner box and wrapping. The rifle's box was wrapped in a heavy cardboard and securely taped. This in turn was inside a well fitting outer box packed to eliminate shifting and it was taped very good also.
I didn't see any signs of the box having been opened by Customs, and I didn't have to pay any import duties this time around.
I'm going to play with it before doing a little write-up. I do like the way it feels and handles. But, I'm most interested in how it is going to shoot. So, more later.

Glad to hear all went well. I'm hoping to make a purchase from them in the near future. Nice looking air rifle. Will be interesting to see how you like it.
-
FYI
My HW77 also came today. Box definitely was opened and taped back together. Inner box looks like it was opened too. Gun was in perfect condition. I will still order from them in the future.

Congratulations, she sure is a purrdy little thing :D. Was the savings significant using this dealer plus shipping verses a local buy? Keep hearing of buys from these guys, and wanted to know what was the draw.

Kurt, this one is on sale for about $272 USD shipped(arrives in 3 days). From what I have priced online, one can usually save 20-30%.

Mike, the 98 I bought from them had the full Custom's treatment too. Congratulations on the 77!

Thanks Gary, need to give them a look it seems. 8)

The Krale deal on the 35 is the best deal in airguns right now. It was the HW95 for $299 from AoA. Now I would have to recommend this. That is a whole lot of rifle for the price. Congrats on your purchase.
-
My HW97K arrived looking like it had been packaged at the end of our driveway 100 feet from the house. My HW30S; OTOH, arrived looking like I'd packed it after a liter of Jamesons. The guns inside both boxes were in perfect shape; however, and there were no duties paid on either
Yes, I'd buy from Krale Schietsport again - no worries mates.
-
Is the restriction new, I don't remember it being there before. If I didn't have a hw35e and a pre safety 35k I would be all over this deal

What restriction?

I see it on the site at 240 E, but it adjusts to 198 in the order cart. Of course, shipping tacks 40E back on, plus a 3E credit-card fee....not bad!
ONE thing that I've found off-putting on that gun has been the ungainly length. But that's a K-, and I don't see any dealers in the USA with that model. SEXY!
Please tell me if you feel that the breech latch would be awkward for use as a lefty. Thanks! )
Ordered! Guess I'll find out..........

Victor, I'll try opening the latch with my right hand during a shooting session and let you know what I think. My first thought is that it would be okay. Putting my right hand over the rear sight and using my thumb to open the latch is not uncomfortable or awkward...but that is sitting here at my desk.
Joe, I'm with Yogi, I don't understand what you mean by restriction.
-
That refers to being restricted to an adult of 18yoa, from what I see.
Which way does the latch unlock, toward forward or rear?
-
Just referring to tg ID req. my scanner is down. too lazy to go and get the info LOL still can't get my head around how low the HW prices are in europe.
-
Tempted to order from Europe. Any idea who to turn to in case of warranty needs arise?
-
Victor, push it to the front to open.
John, haven't been too concerned about warranty since I've had my other two apart and will probably have this one apart soon too. Unless this one is a dog, I'd rather try my hand at fixing it instead of shipping it off anyway. But, to answer your question directly...I don't know if AOA would honor the warranty or not...probably not is my guess.
Joe, I have my thoughts on the pricing, but they are pure speculation on my part so I won't get into that subject online. ;)

What do you think about the HW85K in .22 cal for about $305?
-
Victor,
I assume you are a lefty? :o Sorry I do not mean to hijack this thread.
I'm a righty who cocks his break barrels with his left hand. I load pellets with my left hand.
Anything else and I feel I am doing an natural act. :'(
When loading an under lever, I turn the gun on its side and load with my left hand.
Do you, or anybody else here knows of a left side ported air gun? Either under lever or side, left side, lever action? 8)
Thanks,
-Y
-
I believe the TX has a left sided action not just a left hand stock.

Correct ... loading gate is biased to the other side

I am left-eye dominant, and have always shot longarms and bows from the port side.
I cock with my right (strong) arm, and I will alter which hand holds the barrel, but typically my RH.
The HW 77 and 97 or cut at 180 for equal side access. The TX as mentioned is also available with a port biased to the LH side, but the BT release switch is STILL on the gun's RH side.
-
Hi Gary, glad to hear you had a uneventful order experience and hope your new rifle shoots as good as it looks.
Enjoy!

I am 100% Left Handed, Left Eye Dominate, etc. In fact 4 years ago I suffered severe nerve damage in my right hand rendering it 50% useful. I have a 35E I bought 6-8 months ago. I find it ideal for left handers. In fact it was as if it was designed for left handers. I always cock with my right hand and leave my right hand on the barrel (for safety). I hit the latch with my left hand and load with my left hand. It is totally natural and with in your first few shots you won't even think about the latch anymore. Don't being left hand stop you from buying a 35. It is a great, very well made rifle. This is the best deal going right now.

NICE! I am trying to temper my anticipation, LOL. Those folks at Krale do a better job of keeping you informed than any CONUS dealer! WOW! :o

Hey Gary in WV,
Thanks for the tip on Krale, got a HW50S for $257 USD 8).

I am very pleased with my two recent purchases from Krale Schietsport. So impressed, in fact, that there may be another in the near future?
-
Yeah Greg,
The HW35 for $270 is very tempting, but I don't want to risk losing my Wife ;D
She hasn't drawn a line in the sand, but that's coming .................... :P
On another note, does anyone know where one can get an inexpensive (after-market) Walnut stock for HW's? I would be able to do some in-letting and all the finishing.

I was just putting the car in gear for work when the Brown sleigh parked. Santa jumped out with a long box, and I shut off my engine. ;D
I did NOT have time to open her up and play, but the quick once-over showed the box to be pretty much unmolested. As, Old Gringo pointed out, it looked as though it could've come from one STATE over, let alone Europe. ;)
Did the math as I was pulling out. It arrived in merely 4 days and 12hrs after I ordered it! 8)

I'm glad the rest of you are having luck. I've been trying to get a 97K Blue Laminate for several days. The site doesn't like my credit card, even though I had the transaction pre-authorized. :(
Gerrit is super helpful and has been very responsive in answering my questions and trying to help me out. He's given me some different options to try, but it's still not working. Maybe I'll try again in a week or so. :(

That's a bummer Zack. I'm sure y'all will get it worked out and you'll get your rifle. I had the pleasure of speaking with Gerrit on the phone yesterday. He's a first class act and I'm sure he'll find a way to help. He's the type who will go the extra mile(s) to make sure a customer is satisfied.

Sorry you are having CC issues Zack.
I am taking a wild guess here, but would it be a Visa Card?
Have you done the Verified by Visa?

Eric, YES, it was a Visa. And, no, I haven't verified it. What is that exactly? I clicked on the link to get it verified, but it instantly asked for my card number and 3 digit code. This seemed a little sketchy so I didn't do it. I wonder if I can do this over the phone???
-
My guess this could be your problem. The Verified By Visa is legit, I had to do it years ago, but do not remember the process back then. I would contact your CC/financial institution and ask for advice on Verifying your Visa.
I think the link is probably legit, but would feel horrible if it was not and you had issues.
E
-
Had to do the same thing with my master card and it was legit, It was my CU double checking
-
I called my credit card company, and the rep said that have never heard of 'Verified by Visa'. I guess I'll be calling back to talk to another rep ::)...
-
Zack, I had this same or at least similar issue when completing my order last month. The third time was a charm, as I made sure to enter all my shipping info and then card info quickly and submit the order. Once it went through, everything from email updates, tracking and shipping went smoothly.
So, how's the HW35K shooting? Is it showing any pellet preferences yet? And the "K" has a very short barrel compared to most hw35. How's the cocking effort?
-

Mark,
I'll give it another try... However, I think you have just too many HW's. I hate to see a pal burdened, so I would be willing to sacrifice and take your blue lam off your hands. It's only out of concern for YOU that I extend this gracious offer. ;D
-
Alright, this one has been unmolested by customs. :P The OEM box was placed into another relatively tight box, but also surrounded with black shipping pads. Reminds me of a particular feminine product, LOL, but seems to be effective. Then, THAT was surrounded by a third outer box which was hand-cut, & taped to fit SUPER tight. In fact, I couldn't dump, nor pull, out the inner box from the outermost box. I had to cut it off.
Gun is a bit of a beast, weight-wise, compared with my other springers. Beefy as heck in the forend. Put 10 Diablo Basics and 10 Premier HPs (from Wally) through it before bed. Sights were spot-on POA-POI at 10m. 8) Cocking latch is not the pain I had imagined, which was nice. I can reach over with my RH, and one of my fingers can pull the latch as my palm performs the break-open. Or. with the butt on my left thigh, I can push forward on the latch with my LH, and break with my RH, then reposition my LH at the wrist for cocking.
Cocking it is drama-free, almost as though it were tuned. Wish I could say the same for the let-off, LOL. Typical HW SPROINK. BUT...as has been noted, quite quick, with no resonating at all. Got it on the Chrony the next morning : H&N FTTs at 707-720(710) and Wally Crosman Premier HPs at 630-682(650). OH, and NO smell nor dieseling, either.
