Hello guys I'm in the process of tuning this Daisy 1000 made by Hatsan I have the trigger off and the spring out does the barrel have to be removed to get the piston out it slides down to the bottom and then stops I don't want to force and break something, thamks

Yes and no. The cocking lever is what is preventing the piston from coming out. Break the barrel to open the breech just slightly to remove pressure on the pivot bolt. Remove the bolt. Either slide the barrel assembly completely off or just wiggle it down just enough to give enough slack to be able to get the cocking lever shoe back far enough to remove it from the slot. It won't hurt to remove the barrel assembly completely though.
