I ordered this from PA in February, SCP3-U416AOIEW. Easy set up with included rings. After a couple of weeks the LEDs for the reticle went bad. I got a RMA quickly and returned it to Leapers. One week later, I installed the replacement. GREAT service from them.
Now for the new one. It is as clear as my Bushnell AR. I use the Birchwood Casey Dirty Bird targets and can easily read the logo at fifty yards and probably a bit farther. I LOVE the locking turrets. The click feel is very solid, positive and accurate. I settled on the bright blue for reticle illumination when needed, as that shows better than the others on my range. The focus snaps in and out in only a few inches difference. The weight is no concern for me. But for informational purposes, mounted on my Steel Eagle NP2 .22, the combo weighs nine pounds, even.
After reading a few problem posts this week, I did a little extra testing. I focused at my fifty yard target (at 16X) and moved the logo all around the edges. It is the same clarity every where in the FOV. Then I laid a fifty foot tape on the ground under my shooting station. I then turned the focus to the close stop and moved along the tape 'til I could clearly read the tape. A little closer than 29 feet. I then rotated the ocular out about 1/2 turn and it focused at 27 1/2 feet.

Ken,
If you rotate the ocular adjustment out a couple turns, does the reticle then move with the ocular piece? For example, I had to unscrew the ocular adjustment out 2 full turns to get the reticle sharp. After I did this, the entire ocular piece was not tight in the frame, but could be jiggle around and the reticle would move with it. Does your scope show this same behavior?
Thanks!

The reticle is not moving, just the image. All scopes do this if the threads are too loose. They do not hold the piece consistently. If it is this loose, I would contact UTG.

great too here

Thanks for the review,I've thought about getting one for my hw95.

I have the same experience review-wise with Leapers, but paid $20 more for the etched glass reticule. I think mine is 3-12. Very worth it compared to all my other scopes ;)
