Can anyone tell me how to adjust the output pressure up?
I can't get to the shims as the bonnet will not come off the UFA body.
Every video I have seen shows shims in the gas distribution body, but when I opened mine it has no shims.
This tank is only putting out 2200 to 2400 psi I have been fighting trying to get my Texan on target for weeks now. I thought the gauges were wrong but this last trip to the range I am dead on with 175gr rounds but 250gr, 340gr and 405gr is all over the place.

First make sure the tank is empty. After removing the bonnet screws remove the bonnet. Then pull the piston out. I would replace it with a new piston from a rebuild kit. Use something like Ultimox 226 to lube it.

I would reassemble before adding any shims. A .001" shim will raise it around 100psi. Here's what mine looked like when I took it apart.

When you remove the grub screws you can then use a longer screw (like 1.5") and just thread it into one of the holes a turn or so and use it as a handle to unscrew the bonnet.

FINALLY I got it apart! I tore the brass end up a bit. when it came out it sounded like a fire cracker !! could air be trapped inside the shims?
ok so this is the info I'm looking for .001 shim will rise pressure 100, is that putting the shim in the middle of the stack. what will adding shims before and after the assembly do?
I'm the book shims #11 and #12 say may or may not be added. Is this how the fine tune at the factory?
-
Preload shims are flat and can be added onto the stack at the end. NO NEED TO REMOVE BEVELS.
Yes, this is how fine tuning output is even done at the factory.
-
Mine sounded like that the first time I took it apart. After many times of taking it apart and putting it back together it never did it again. If you dinged up the brass piston I would suggest getting a rebuild kit.

Could you safely shim the regulator to 3,600psi (250bar) for a higher fill PCP?

Could you safely shim the regulator to 3,600psi (250bar) for a higher fill PCP?
Likely going to take a bevel washer reconfiguration/replacement.
In such an application, NO NEED for regulated fill devise ... get a bottle that allows direct purging off of the 4.5K fill pressure.

You probably had some air trapped between the two O-rings.... that is what caused the "POP"....

I have a ninja and a air venturi 90 cuin tank(s) and also doesn't g the shim trick but when I put them back together the tanks are leaking at the ball area on top of bonnet, now there are no orings that go where the ball goes I took both of them carefully apart and i swear there were no oring there. Are there supposed to be orings or am I missing anything?? Thanks for your help!

Ok I found 2 white orings but when I put them in it still leaks?? What gives??
