Bought four .177 QB89's side lever bullpups from a GTA guy for $40 each. Gave one to a friend and tore one down. Tried shooting the other two. With the open sight and a I.B. clamp on rear sight and then a scope, all on top of the carrying handle, with the sight adjustment max out they both hit 1 1/2' high and 1 1/2' left.
Tried one of those cheap $12 green dot sights. Used two lawn chairs. One to set in and one to rest the gun on the back of. Started at 5 Yards and worked my way back 5 yards at a time, adjusting the sight as I went, till I got to my 25 yard shooting table. Got them on paper and zeroed them. Best groups I could get are 3" at 25 yards. with RWS Hobbies 7 grs. Trigger is awful. At least 15 lbs but less than 50.
Saw a mod I'm going to change a little. Take the carrying handle off. Find a long weaver scope rail, +7" and drill holes and using the screws that hold the carrying handle on with a couple of washers underneath, mount the rail down close to the receiver and barrel. Elongate the hole on one end for some lateral adjustment, vary the number of washers to correct any droop, and use some tall rings, mount a scope and see what happens.
Also finally found a QB6 in .22. Good little shooter. Love it. Also found a .177 RWS 320 chinese R7 clone with a copy of a Rekord trigger. It's a nail driver.
Just wanted to share all the fun with you chinese gun lovers. Later Tim.
