Title: WF600 Airgun build a success
Post by: grimeszee on March 18, 2016, 05:49:18 PM
Today I had a chance to test out the WF600 .22 cal I just finished a total rebuild on. This included full teardown, debur the slots, smooth the piston behind the seal, polish the sear catch area, and I smoothed the piston chamber. I ground the spring ends flat and polished them using 800 grit wet sand paper. I added a polished penny to the top of the spring. I had to repair a broken spring guide and used the super Moly lube from ARH to lube the gun. I polished the trigger and sear contact and bent the spring slightly at the V groove to lighten the pull. Here are the best numbers it shot across the chrony.

CHP 14.3 Grain
Low - 530.7 FPS
High - 555.6 FPS
Avg -546 FPS
ES - 24.89 FPS
SD - 7.3 FPS
FPE - 9.5

These numbers are 100 FPS and 3 FPE over factory stock. The shot cycle is much better and the trigger is around 3.5-4 lbs now.

I used a walnut stain on it to bring out the grain.

Looks like they are ditching the Chu wood and using the stuff they get for other rifles. Much nicer wood.
