Decided to get a Ruger Impact (.22 cal) Air Rifle for my son . Great price on refurbs . It came in the mail today . Unpacked it and found the stock snapped at the wrist of the grip. It looked like UPS used it for a loading ramp to the truck. I guess we'll see how long this takes to get resolved.

Did you order that rifle through Field Supply, just curious. I had a refurb fusion delivered to me on Thursday by UPS and the box looked like it had been nailed by a forklift. Luckily the gun worked fine and the scope was not damaged.
-
Dang brother, I hope they treat you right. Let us know how it went? Where did you order it from if you don't mine?
-
My heart is always pounding when I open up a new gun box....good luck on getting taken care of...
-
Bummer! All that anticipation, followed by serious disappointment. :(

Yikes
Actually double Yikes!
1) How in the world did they break that? It would take a very SHARP whap
or an awful lot of weight(full sized adult could probably stand on it without breaking it like that)
2)And it was a nice looking stock for an inexpensive rifle-nice grain nice finish for a "Cheap rifle"
Hope it works out

Yes , It came from Field Supply. So far they've been great on the phone. I'm awaiting they're
response from seeing the pictures I sent them.

Dang, nice looking stock on that Impact.

Dear (?) UPS et al: How about checking packages before delivery?
-
Sorry to see that. Hope it works out for you.
Listen guys.. I planned to send a scope to another member via the UPS store. I asked the girl at the counter if she thought I had packed it well enough. I had put it in it's original box and then in another box. She asked me if I thought it could survive falling from the service counter we were standing at to the floor 10 times. Her sincerity made me believe they had intentions to do just that. I told her that I didn't think the rifle scope inside the package could survive that kind of abuse. I wished her a good day and took my package to USPS. I'm not saying USPS is better but at least they never told me they planned to play soccer with my package.

I worked in shipping/receiving for a warehouse back in the day. Ups was by far the worst for damage, like to a whole new level. Part of my job entailed calling UPS every day to claim damaged goods, and not once did they ever deny a claim. Fed ex was much better, because those guys buy their own routes and are held accountable for their actions. That being said, I am currently waiting on an AGD fed ex dumbpost package sent 10 days ago. The thing is, I live only one state away from Utah...a nine hour drive! Almost comical to watch the package traveling all over the country, I doubt it will show up in good shape. Please try to avoid any shipping service with the word "post" in it, just a money saving tactic for the shipper and a nightmare for the buyer.

Oh man that not so good big time! I've had that happen to me with a fishing rod I sent to someone one time. Shipped via UPS and they broke the rod in transit, they took care of it, but what a hassle that was. Hope it works out for you.

I finally got a reply today . Theyve been real helpful. Looks like they sold out of the
Ruger impacts. Hope they still have one to replace the broken one.
