Title: Degasser for .25 mrod gen2 ?

Ok guys help me out here,
I am at a new shooters house showing him the ropes on his new gen2 .25 mrod.
We would like to degasser the gun, but it seems his new gun did not come with a degasser.
My qen 1 degasser does not appear to work on his gen2.
What am I not seeing here ?

Turn the hammer spring preload adjustment ( 1/4" wrench ) 5 turns CW, then try the degassing tool again.

Yea, I bought a new .25 Synrod, and it did NOT come with a degassing tool.  Instructions even said "not included".
