So IV benn looking around here and other places online trying to decide what gun to get. I want preferably a .22 caliber gun for small game hunting like squirrels and maybe raccoons and target shooting. I was looking at a benjamin trail np or np2 or even the xl and simular guns to it like the varmint and summit. I have read that the Diana 34 is a great gun for the money as well or maybe even a discovery if I could get a good deal on one. IV got about a $200-300 budget that is a little flexible. Looking for something accurate powerful and also quiet and back yard friendly. Any suggestions or info is greatly appreciated

WEIHRAUCH HW95 From Airguns of Arizona 299.95. Very nice German air rifle. Hands down the best deal going for around 300.00. These are normally $405.00 putting them over budget for most. These were marketed as the Beeman R9 which has quite a loyal following. Quite a step up from the RWS 34 in my opinion.

If you have a $200-$300 budget get the great deal right now from www.airgunsofarizona.com (http://www.airgunsofarizona.com) and get a HW95 for $299 as suggested about. Second choice would be the RWS34 for a little less money. Anything else I wouldn't bother. Those are two great guns in your budget you will never regret buying and can pass down to the kids.

How is the hw95 on sound is it relativly quiet? And the .22 has about a 15 fpe was looking for something with a little more power.

My HW95 with H&N FTT 14.66gr is right about 15.5fpe and very quiet. If you want more power, take a look at the Hatsan Model 95 Vortex .22. With those same pellets you should get 755 or so fps for right around 18.5 fpe. My Edge Vortex has the same power plant and shoots those numbers.
Hatsan rifles are never far off on their fps numbers as they use real lead pellets not the lightweight alloy ones to test for them.

get a disco

Trail NP 1 in .22 and fix the trigger..IMHO best all-round gun I've owned in 40 years. It's comfortable, powerful and pretty quiet for its power.

My RWS gets about 15.5 FPE as well with Super domes I think there 14.6gr roughly great gun I love it but if more power is wanted you'll need a Magnum springer or a PCP which discos are great love mine also

I was in your shoes a couple weeks ago and I too was looking at a RWS 34 but after lots of research I decide to get a XS-25 in . 22 from Flying Dragons Airguns
You should check them out...

HW95 is the ticket, accuracy trumps power and with the HW95 or D34 you should get the accuracy, with the other guns it is hit or miss. JMHO

I'd forget .22 and get yourself a vintage Sheridan blue streak 🎯 👊 🎧
Their accurate, powerful, and relatively quiet. They're also very rugged , fairly lightweight, and compact. Not to mention the fact that they'll last a lifetime.
