Hi folks ,this is Heidi, I picked her up last Tuesday , but due to work commitments ,I only put 5 or 6 pellets thru her before fitting the Scope,Theoben barrel weight (much shimming and cursing..!!!!) ...........etc
On Sunday I zeroed her (another 10-15 pellets) then shot a Hunter Field Target Competition (another 30 Pellets).Much to my surprise I picked up a Silver for 2nd in my class (and she still hadn`t had 60 pellets thru her!)
I`m in love!!
Regards
Kenny.

This AG has no open sights; is this a difference between HW50 and HW99?

I took the sights off in order to fit the Theoben steel barrel weight , because I found the rifle to be front end light.
The HW99s/Beeman R-6/new model HW50s are essentially identical, the only real difference I`ve found is that in some countries you can have the option of fibre-optic sights intead of the plain "irons" mine came with and in the USA you get an all weather HW50s with black stock and slver metal-work.
My HW99s originally looked like the HW50s in this really good review; http://www.network54.com/Forum/543831/message/1252631565/A+Review+of+the+HW50s (http://www.network54.com/Forum/543831/message/1252631565/A+Review+of+the+HW50s)

Here http://www.weihrauch-sport.de/englisch/e_produkte/e_standardluftgewehre/e_standardluftgewehre.htm (http://www.weihrauch-sport.de/englisch/e_produkte/e_standardluftgewehre/e_standardluftgewehre.htm) they offer an optional fibersights for any their breakbarrels, so i dont understand germans, why they introduce a new model, identical their wellknown model.
At all, nice AG, halfyear ago i try to order 50 or 99, but seller importing a 95, 97 or 98 springs only, well, i take the 95 instead.

Hi Kenny,
Nice airgun. A friend has one in .177 cal' and he regularly picks up trophies in HFT competitions. I have had a go on his and it oozes quality. Do you agree the barrel wouldn't look out of place on a .50 cal' HB ? hehe
All the best,
Alan :)

Thats a sweet looking gun Harry, accurate too. 2nd place and you havent even broken her in yet! Where did you get those things the sling attaches to? (Im having a brain fart and cant think of the name of them). Ive been looking for some for my barrel cocker (R9) for the longest time but cant find anything that will clamp down on barrel like yours does.
Good luck with that sweet gun,
Gil

Gil, it`s ok, I have days ,sometimes weeks of "brain fart" syndrome!;--what you are looking for is Q.D. sling attachments ; most gun shops will stock these (Pyramyd, Airguns of Arizona.......) ,good brands are Talon and Uncle Mike`s ;try here my friend for better pictures;- http://www.uncle-mikes.com/um_cat_swivels.html (http://www.uncle-mikes.com/um_cat_swivels.html) ;if you find a stockist which does these ;let him know that you have a 16mm diameter barrel on your Beeman R9.
Take care

Thanks Kenny, up until now ive been using a shotgun sling and been wrapping electrical tape around the barrel to keep that end of moving. But this will be much better! Thanks a bunch Kenny.
