Title: Found an FWB 124

I found an FWB 124 at a local shop this afternoon. I know they are very collectable and they shoot like lasers. This particular rifle is in excellent condition. Can someone give me guidance on the value of these rifles?

  I bought a standard sport model for $250 from an older gentleman.  I think it was a fair price, as it came with the sights.  The barrel was pointing off to the right a bit, which I didn't notice at first.  Someone had triggered it off or something.  But I had a pro realign it for me when it was tuned. 

  For a deluxe model, with fancier stock, I would pay up to $450, if it was an older one like I like.  I like the mark I with the plastic trigger, thinner front sight hood, hand cut checkering with palm swell.  Otherwise, I would try to snag one for $350-$400.  It may need a new piston seal and fresh lubes so consider that if you are going to haggle.  Check the condition of the barrel crown and bore, since they do have excellent match barrels.  If it  was new in box, then you could expect to pay more.   I have two and wouldn't mind another, they are a great rifle.

I recently bought a 124D with no sights in 90%+ shape for $300. It had a Maccari tune and shot great. I thought I got a good deal.
BTW it was serial number 1442, no Beeman marks.
Maybe it will be a collector someday. Right now it's a great shooter. I'd buy another.

BTW if money is tight I'd give $40 for the sights. I'd like to complete mine.

Thanks for your input CO_Steve and VillageSniper. The seller wants $625 and I thought it's over priced for a standard 124 model. If I could get the seller down a $100-125 I'd feel like it was a fair deal.
