Hi all... I'd like to get a new scope with an AO. My question is would a scope advertised as "shock proof" be air gun grade? Also has any one experience with Barska scopes? I'm trying to go with as much optic as I can afford, which isn't really much. Thanks, John

Shockproof is not the same as airgun rated.
Take a look at Pyramyd air.
I think most of their scopes are airgun rated.

all leupold scopes are airgun rated and have lifetime, no questions asked, warranty. but your wallet will have a big dent in it after purchasing one. they also do not have any front bell adjustable objective scopes.
if you're getting a scope for a springer, be certain it is airgun rated...PCP/CO2...not so much as they have no recoil.
I have one Barska but it's on a hp PB. for the same I spent on it, I coulda gone to a Leupold...
