Title: BSA S10 gets another
Post by: LDP on December 09, 2015, 03:39:36 PM
Even with the weather being horrible the sparrows are still hanging around. This female didnt move fast enough and the S10 did what it does best ;)

Good shooting!

The lil' buggers are real opportunists!

It keeps them coming in year round.  ;)

Cheers,
Smoketown

Nice shot, and beautiful gun, Leland.

Maybe someday when I grow up, my wife will let me have a AG as nice as that.. :-\

Thank you guys!

My BSA S10 has been exceptional in performance since I got it. I got it in a trade and it was originally a fac S10 MK2 but I bought the regulator parts and hammer spring needed to get it changed to the sub 12 fpe rifle it was originally designed to be. I tore the regulator apart and replaced the seals and put the sub 12 fpe guts into the housing. This was my first regulated pcp and with a little help from Bob and a few other people I learned how to tune a regulated rifle. It didnt take to long but the one problem with the style of regulator these have is that you have to completely disassemble the regulator and shim the spring to change the reg output pressure. Its a pain to go thru all that and to get the shims just right for the tune you are after. But in the end I got it where I wanted and its been an awesome performer since the tune. I built a shroud for it and it is nice and quiet allowing multiple shots if I remain unseen. Very accurate and a killing machine ;)

I did the camo paint myself and I like the way it turned out. It had a full camo job minus the stock but I recently switched scopes and put the larger higher mag scope that was on my S10 onto the .25 Mrod I recently purchased. So now I need to camo this scope to match the S10 and my Mrod to match the camo scope ;D
