I had a Crosman CPA416AORG2 Centerpoint 4-16x40mm Riflescope Adventure Class go all stupid, you could not get 2 holes in a target within 6" of the other where it had been shooting dead on center. After spending a day or so looking for a problem with the Titan NP, the front ring, in front of the scope lens, fell off. Screwed it back on, few shots later fell off again. I called CenterPoint, told them what it was doing, they said sent it to them along with a copy of my receipt plus a description of what it was doing. Made a point of telling then in the letter I enclosed, it was mounted on a Benjamin Titan NP .177. They even paid the return shipping which their warranty says the customer has to pay Got an email from them in about 12 days, 8 days after they received the scope, said it was bad and they were sending a replacement BUT they were out of stock of the scope model I sent them. Said they were going to send a "more expensive scope". Got it back and did not need it immediately, so it sat for a couple of weeks. I had opened the box and saw it was a new scope. Happened to see the box earlier this evening and took a closer look. The scope they sent was not even a Air Rifle scope. They sent the same power but it is a
4-16x40 mm CenterPoint TAG Scope

described as
"The TAG Series offers reliable rifle scopes that are sure to satisfy even the most demanding hunters and shooters. Every scope in the line comes standard with the new TAG bullet drop compensating reticle and can easily be calibrated to any bullet/load combination and accommodate distances out to 600yds. Featuring crisp, clear optical systems, specially formulated multi-coated lenses and rugged 1” tubes, these scopes deliver high-end performance without the high-end price."
Read on the package, suggested for shotguns, muzzle loaders along with high powered rifles.
Personally, I don't have an air rifle that shoots 600 yards ::) I did not even know CenterPoint even made scopes for anything but air guns.
I have not opened the scope itself and definitely going to have a long discussion with CenterPoint early Monday Morning. They have my original scope back in stock, listed on their website for sale and I bet they send me one and pay the shipping of this one back to CenterPoint.

10 yards to infinity makes it very AG useful .... if springer AG rated too sounds like you got a worthy if not better scope out of the exchange.

Definately not an air rifle scope, the tag reticle is useless for air rifles. At least you got one with AO so it may be usable. Here is my thread on my experience with Crosman.

I am not going to even open it. That way it will be new in package when CenterPoint gets it back.

I wish you luck.

Had a long discussion with CenterPoint this morning. Told them I did not have time to fuss about a replacement, they have them in stock so send me what originally purchased. As soon as they get verification tomorrow that UPS has picked up the wrong scope, the new Crosman CPA416AORG2 Centerpoint 4-16x40mm Riflescope Adventure Class will be shipped. Probably won't be here till next week with the Holidays. Basically, I just did not give them a chance to say no ;D
