A bit of a modification to the “good ‘nuff” post.

Darned near anything will work at 20-25 yards on rats, if you are taking heart/lung shots and not shots at that pea sized brain.
Included some pretty horrible pellets in this 60 shot session. Some are pellets that have been hanging around the shop for 10 years or more hoping something would shoot them worth a &^^&. Think I just need to convert the decade long losers to split weights for fishing.
No sight changes (none needed, been using the 13.7gr. JSB WC’s as “rat slappers” nd they are well sighted in). So the groups that landed off center could be brought to on center with a few adjustments.

The worst of this session is about ˝” at 20 yards, which would be horrible for targets, but COULD be good enough for rats if (1) adjusted to be on POA and (2) you aren’t too picky about what vital spot you hit.
So I’m going to back off a bit on “good ‘nuff”.
Of the 9 pellets shot today, 5 are good enough, 4 are kind of borderline. I’d use the worst 4 if I didn’t have anything else (my job to be sure I’m not in that situation).
Did say 60 shots…so where are the other 15?
Because the results of the last pellets tested were kind of poor, had to recheck 3 of the better grouping pellets a 2nd time. Still no scope adjustments.

Shot about like they did in the first session and to the same place. So I have nothing mechanical to blame on the scope/barrel/rifle.
It just likes what it likes.
