Just to let everyone know...(i haven't seen a post yet...lol) the new Sig Sauer MCX and MPX is available at Cabelas. mine should be here today. no one else has them in stock yet for some reason
-
Yeah..I would like to read your review on it when you run it thru it's paces!
-
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it!

Ask away.....but from one day of shooting...
It was well packaged and looks awesome. It was well worth the wait. Metal receiver, trigger, and barrel and shroud. Handrails and the stock are a hard but thick polymer. I shot 10 mags through it before it ran the co2 out...trigger pull is good...a little long but its to be expected since it rotates the belt in the mag. The magazine is easier to load than i thought it would be. Only thing that kind of not worthy is when you put pellets in the belt, you have to seat them with a little tool they give you.....hope i dont loose it...lol. one co2 lasted 300+ shots. Iwould say thats good. I dont have a chrony so cant say on that. It shoots 7 to 8gr pellets strong. My gun was very close to accurate out of the box at about 30yrds. My groups were within half dollar size(fast trigger pulls). Quarter size groups with well aimed shots. In all i am very impressed with this rifle.....very fun to shoot. Let me know if i can answer any other questions

Heres the in the box pic
-
So the action works like a DA revolver where the mag belt rotates with each trigger pull?
-
Yep...as you pull the trigger it rotates the belt....its really smooth though. I just cant get over the craftsmanship. Well built.
-
How loud is the MCX? Is the shroud functional?
-
Following
-
Shroud stops 1/4 inch or less just inside the handrails. Its not real loud....sounds like most air rifles i have heard....medium loudness. Shroud is just a barrel cover
-
Thanks, Brian. Pulled the trigger on one yesterday we'll see how things turn out.

Put a red dot and sling on it today

Quit teasing us.
You ever heard of YouTube and a video review?
-
I saw a youtube vid filmed at the 2015 shot show...said these would be coming out in a pcp too....wonder if that is still in the works?
-
I have been waiting for the PCP version.
-
I've never done a YouTube video....sorry. I have talked to a guy at Sig and he said the pcp versions will be out late next year. The Sig red dots, mags and other accessories will be out in the spring of next year. Cabelas sold a lot of these guns when i got mine so i would guess to say that more reviews will be out around Christmas time
-
....also. i put some weaver rails on it last night too.on the plastic hand guard keymod holes, the plastic seems to be thicker than a normal AR hand guard. i had a problem trying to put the rails on......screws that came with the rails were to short. i put longer ones in and it worked fine
-
Here is the video referring to the pcp version...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=py3SI9KLsp0 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=py3SI9KLsp0) ..
guess we have to wait :(
At any rate...cool guns! Thanks for the review!
-
No problem....just ask and i will try to answer

I got one yesterday from PA. I haven't shot it yet, (need to get co2) but so far I am impressed with the quality of the build. They are made in Japan for Sig. I already changed the pistol grip out with a Houge grip that didn't fit my Winchester MP4. My only concern is how well the stock will hold up over time where the co2 loads. It doesn't inspire too much confidence. I'll probably skip putting a sling on it to avoid stressing it. The fore-grip is a little hokey too, That'll probably get tossed in the box with the pistol grip and get to live its life out in the attic with the box. If it shoots as good as it looks though, it's going to be a winner.

well....been shooting mine for the past couple of weekends. the co2 doesn't last as long in the cold weather. only got about 5 mags through it and that's it. if i pulled the charging handle it would shoot about 3 to 4 more shots then stop. it did that for about one more mag then i had to change the co2. its going to be a warmer weather gun for me. ordered co2 from sport chalet online. 2bottle co2 packs for $12.99 and free shipping right now.

this is mine as far as im going to go with it for now. put rails on both sides, red laser sight with pad switch, utg red Tdot sight, i have my surefire light to put on the other side but i dont keep it on......anyways thats it. if anyone wants any more questions answered .....just post and i will try my best to answer

I'm wondering if a slip on recoil pad for a SKS or AK will fit. The stock is a tad short for comfort.
