Rattus warfare last night.

it was a night, they had me going tell 2am. My little red lamp ran out of battery at 10pm so I was shooting from the moon light coming off the white plywood board I use as the base to my bait station. (and the led on the dongers) I ended up bagging three the most in one night for me. The buck in the photo was biggest and the last for the night. He seemed to just be playing. He did not seem to care about bait. He would run and jump in the air. Then he would do the same thing from another angle across the bait station. That makes four in two days and puts me at 31 rats so far. Airrifles and rats what a fun combination, who knew!

Paulus, excellent shooting on those 3! You shot the Laurrel or Hardy of the rattus trio! And, yes, AirRifles and rattus go hand in hand...oh what fun!

I've got a Rattus in my house and it's a super skittish one, last night I tried to get a shot on it from across the kitchen and hallway but it heard the floor creak and it took off, I think I may have to setup a remote controlled shooting platform, I have gobs of R/C stuff, so I should be able to setup a trigger servo system and maybe put a target marker on the floor and pre-sight in the rifle to a specific point, then place some food there and wait for the rodent to get in to the Kill zone, we'll see what I can do here.
