Title: Where to go shooting
Post by: Drifter on December 10, 2018, 04:05:31 PM

I am looking for an outdoor place to go shooting, I have gone to Strickland a few times
but I want to get away from the powder burners, I live in the port orange daytona area, I
am open to suggestions / help.

   Thanks for reading.   Drifter

Yeah, I'd like to find a 100yds+ range too. Really like to find something 200yds.

Thanks Frank, but the only one that’s listed for this area suitable for airguns is Strickland.Which was mentioned by Drifter.

There is the rifle range in the Ocala NF, it's open to the public if you don't mind driving a little. I have use it many times when I was living in Salt Springs.

It's not as much as driving, it's the cost of shooting and the crowd you are shooting with. This range is in the middle of the forest just north of State Rd. 40. Very few people use it during the week, weekends are little busy depending on the time of the year. It doesn't cost anything and there is no range master to deal with, just an occasional game warden checking on things.

Hey Everyone, Thanks for the input.  Ocala NF is about 60-miles from me so it's a tad to far
I guess I just live in the wrong area, to much city not enough country, I just got a new scope
and I want to give it a go, ya know that itch ! LOL....
