My first Crosman Air Pistol(s)

Somewhere in the mid-90s, I spotted this Model 600, and so began my collection.
I liked it so much, I bought a backup. Since the backup has paint wear, I don't mind clamping things to it.
It's actually a little less picky about the pellets I feed it than the "good" gun.
I never noticed until I was doing these pictures that the first 600 has raised lettering, and the backup 600 has stamped letters.

There were at least 6 variants of the 600 and numerous different casting molds over the years; some combinations produced crappy shooters. Finding a 600 in excellent condition in a near perfect box that also cycles and shoots well is priceless. You did good.

Beautiful pistol. I guess eventually, I am going to have to buy an old air pistol just to try one out. The only one I have is a 1377 that I bought new, just a few years ago. Thanks for showing it!
