Title: Michigan airgun hunters interested in coyote hunting club
Post by: stubbs4short on February 22, 2016, 10:58:30 AM
I am thinking of getting together a few people to coyote hunt, and form some type of club to keep the seasons from becoming stale. Anyone interested please contact me on this forum. Thanks

That sounds like it could be a lot of fun, I've only got the Nitro venmom in .177 and my .22 Discovery, I'd feel much better using a larger pneumatic (PCP) for shooting a coyote.  When I was still working repairing electronics it was common to have game callers come in for repair, it surprised me how many of these people were coyote hunters.

I'm from Marion area. All I got is a 22 disco and 25 mrod. We seem to have a lot of yotes around here. We usually shoot them with 22s or shotguns. All we do is walk around or drive around when we see one we chase it down and try to get a shot off. Seems like they would be hard to kill even with a 25 do you need headshots?

I would be interested in trying out my .25 Sumatra on a Yote.  I'm about 20 minutes from Swartz Creek

Last year I found about 15 tokens with my metal detector out in a suburbia woods here in Kalamazoo. They are all from Swartz Creek.
