Everyone has to keep up with the Jones'... a life of excess. On topic: one thing in a rifle I look for is the grip angle/trigger finger reach. This has made me sell, return guns I otherwise would've kept. If it's not comfortable in my shooting hand, I can't do it.
Because of my skin grafts, I can't grip a perpendicular stock without pain so I lay my hand on the side of the stock and just pinch the trigger. This means that vertical grips have to be present on a gun if I am to shoot off hand.

The DAR is to the limit of how much trigger reach I will tolerate on a rifle. I may end up thinning the palm of the stock down to aid in that like you did on the one in the avatar. I gave away my beeman chief II plus because it was way too long of a reach and made it so uncomfortable to shoot. I have meaty palms and short fingers from years of turning wrenches and lifting weights lol.

I'm not a tall guy, but not short at 70" tall with a middle weight wrestler build (135 in HS). I "cut my teeth" shooting with M16's in the military, and then M4's, and I was thrilled for that adjustable stock. Even compared to other guys my height I prefer a tighter more compact rifle. I see many people shooting with their trigger side elbow out in the air, and I think it's from too long of a pull. I make much tighter groups with my shooting side elbow (I'm right handed) down and relaxed, but I need a pretty short setup for that. I went from high 20's/40 to 39-40/40 at the range with an M4 and a shorter LOP. The grip on an M4/16/ARXX is still not ergonomic for me, my very inexpensive Stormrider is so far the most comfortable rifle I've ever held, aside from an old youth Ruger .lr I shot as little kid many years ago (learned to shoot with).

Give me a wooden stock and up that wing goes!
My criteria for PCPs...1: does it fulfill the role I intend to buy it for? That's it.That's why I own a Leshiy classic, a Lelya 2.0 (both in .25), a SPA M-25 and a ShinSung lever-action - both in 9mm, and a Fortitude. The other PCPs, a PP700, PP750, and a PR900W, were all bought more for playing around and plinking. The Leshiy Classic is far and away the most versatile airguns I've used, and the durability aspect combined with ease of adjustment, barrel replacement, field-serviceability, and accuracy all further render it my absolute favorite air rifle. I have long arms, wide palms, I'm right-eye dominant, left-handed, and shoot ambidextrously. I had a huge spreadsheet with just about every PCP on it at the time with pros and cons listed along with a point-based system for determining overall versatility. The Leshiy won by a landslide. The next closest airgun was the RTI Priest, followed by a Sumatra. I'll eventually own both of those, but no rush.
