Almost has to be a Daisy, based on the shot tube and general appearance.  But which one?

Very diverse taste in music, Williams Jr and Stevie Winwood.

Definitely a daisy, but I'm not sure on the model because so many of them were basically the same thing.

I can say that the stock definitely looks to have been cut down, either to fit a younger kid or maybe some kid wanted a mares leg like Steve McQueen.

I don't think that stock was cut down... I think it was completely made in Dad's garage or basement.

Looks like it may be a Daisy Model 1105. Or at least of that era.

Thanks . This friend does have a broad taste in music.
I will look that model up for him & I agree the stock does not look correct.

Yeah you're right, I just first noticed that it was so short not thinking about the odd shape in general.

Found it....
I just couldn't let go.  It's a Model 36. Original plastic stock which might explain part or the reason to replace with wood. Not nearly worth what one might expect.

Owner says that the wood stock has been cut down. It does work, too.

It may have been cut down but it's not the original stock.

A good close up shot of the top of the receiver behind the rear sight might answer the question. Most Daisys have info stamped there.

Could be. An 80 has the same design on the cocking lever. If it is an 80 it is missing the forearm.

It says long rifle and that would be the model 80 long rifle, missing the firearm I guess.

Yes, The Model 80 is The Long Rifle. My First BB gun.
Made with a  plastic stock and fore end. Many had a frontiersman 'branded' in the stock.

They sure must've shot it alot, got their money's worth out of it.

If your friend is a collector, I can help him get started.  Got lots of old Daisy's in the pile-o-airguns.

Looked like model 80 to me too. Reminds me of the long one I started with. I forget the model, but I thought 108? But being a long one and a different color...

Probably took them a long time to do it though.
I wore out the plastic lever on a new red Ryder in just a couple months a few years back.

For some reason I was hooked on that gun when I got it and probably put 2 6000 count packs of BB's through it to wear it out.

I will let my friend know when I talk to him. He may just decide that he wants to sell it as is. He said that it does cock & fire.  I have no idea of its value.
