What would be excessive FPS difference on a HW95 .22 where you would then consider a through checkup and/or teardown? My last chrono check indicated a spread of 18 FPS over 10 shots with a average of 719. The rifle is accurate and it was a windy day but I doubt the wind had any effect on the FPS. I thought that this spread in FPS should be smaller. The pellets are FTT 14.66 gr.Chrono data:# FPS FT-LBS PF10 721 16.92 10.09 9 726 17.16 10.16 8 721 16.92 10.09 7 725 17.11 10.15 6 722 16.97 10.11 5 709 16.38 9.93 4 718 16.79 10.05 3 720 16.88 10.08 2 709 16.38 9.93 1 727 17.21 10.18 Average: 719.8 FPSSD: 6.3 FPSMin: 709 FPSMax: 727 FPSSpread: 18 FPS
Dave, I didn’t search for your prior posts, but are these numbers different than in the past? Did the spread used to be smaller?
How many shots on the spring and seals??
If you worried about FPS you might want to check your seals! Does it still have the factory piston seal?
OK how was the piston seal fit when you installed the VT seal?
