Help with B3-3’s

I’ve got 2 of these” beauties”,one is a dark walnut colored finish, the other is the usual orange dyshellac, the dark one works and decent squirrel shooting accuracy out to 25-30 ft or so,the Orange one works but is missing th@ rear sight the scopes both mount over the scope grooves, and both ave the safety inside the trigger guard ,so I think they are both B3-3’s with my limited experience, the orange one has issues it’s missin the stock screws up by the pump lever and a trigger issue as it won’t set the sear when you cock it unless you pus forward on the back of the trigger ,I assume there is a broken or disconnected spring or something there but it does work if you push the trigger into place. And a scope or sight replacement designed to grab those dovetail grooves will fix that issue.any hints to help with these issues would be great, thanks

I have used Williams peep sights on mine and worked fine.

If you mount a rear sight on the dovetails, it will be too close to your eye for a blade/notch setup. And unless it extends back a good ways, it'll be too far forward for a good peep.
Is the front sight drift adjustable? You could just solder a rear sight blade onto the top of the breech. Take out the breech seal, first.
Here's a DIY sight base for a rear sight I took off another rifle. The plastic base didn't have the same distance between the mounting screws. So I made a new base out of brass. If you have a rear sight from a different rifle, perhaps you can fab something like this, and solder that to the breech.

Of course after all that work I went with a scope.

I just put an extra Simmons 4x32 scope on mine. Get it at Walmart for like 28 frog skins now. Darn good lens grind on them. Can see clearly on a moonlit night. Just learned from the other post in here that mine's a B3-3 with the safety lever. Okay...
I found an Amish-made buffalo hide carbine sling, also on Amazon that I fitted to the B3-3 in place of the olive drab Tactical-Pro.

Send me an address and I can send you a set of stock screw and a sear and sear spring. I have given a few of those clamp on rear sights away but I' m down to one or two and I'm going to keep those. Just go to Walmart and get a cheap Barra scope for it. Williams peeps cost to much for a B3. You buy a new B3 for what the sight cost.
