Air Venturi Avenger wood stock build ?

I want to make a thumb-hole stock for the avenger.

What size router bit and type is used for the in-letting process?

Thoughts on gluing cabinet plywood together for the stock?

Measure your air tube and find a core box router bit that matches as closely as possible.  You may have to finish it off with a piece of dowel rod wrapped in sandpaper.  You will probably also need a small assortment of straight cut bits for the receiver and trigger inletting.  Use baltic birch if you use plywood, it is knot and void free in the inner layers.

nice stock, how hard was it to do the inletting?

Is that hickory?

  More tedious than hard. I built jigs to guide the router.  I'm not sure what kind of wood it is,  we had a lot of mystery wood around the shop.  I do know it is not hickory, way too light.

Or you could buy a Boyd's uninletted  TH stock.

They are around $125 + shipping.

Rick67 I looked at their stocks but they didn't look deep enough to cover the Avenger's tubes.

Ah, forgot about the gun's extra tube design
