They're good about warranty but you will probably have to provide proof of purchase. I believe the lifetime warranty only extends to the original owner.
I received a bad UTG scope in a trade and it was replaced with no paperwork.
On the Bug Buster I returned to the them they just sent me a new one. I didn't send the mounts becauce I thought it would just be repaired. The new one they sent had new mounts. By the way, I didn't have proof of purchase but I did have the box the orginal one came in. I only paid shipping one way.

Went onto the UTG/ Leapers website last night and proof of purchase is required to return items.
How did you start the return process. I would really like to return both these defective scopes and get properly working ones but I also don't want to deal with a bunch of bull either.
