New GAMO Swarm Bone Collector .22 Mach 1

I recently purchased a new GAMO Swarm Bone Collector .22 caliber, and wanted some feedback on how to best break in or take care of this air rifle.
For some time I have owned a GAMO Swarm Maxxim .22 and was very pleased and impressed with performance and accuracy, but really wanted a wood stock air rifle. Now, within this forum I have seen very little discussion on the GAMO Bone Collector, and of course alot on the Hatsan air rifle line. I was liking the Hatsan 125 QE or 135 (wood), but availability was difficult.
within the past couple of weeks I have zeroed in the scope (not an impressive scope, but probably adequate for my needs), and dialed in with Crosman Premier HP 14.3 grain, and H&N Baracuda Hunter Extreme 18.5 grain.
Both pellets produced a pattern of approx .75" at 24 yards, but the heavier H&N Baracuda had POI approx. 2 inches lower. I am shooting from a sitting position loosely cradling the rifle. No positioning on a rest.
The Bone Collector has a very noticeable heavier cocking and kick than the Maxxim, but not an issue for me (74 yrs old but actively lift weights). I really love the very fine finish and appearance of the wooden stock. The 10 shot magazine is truely a blessing for ease of loading, particularly in cold environments where gloves are a necessity.
The Maxxim is still a very good air rifle, accurate and ability to take out urban pest squirrels at ease. But, the wooden stock and larger Mach 1 piston really has a greater more comforting feeling to me. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess.
Looking for advice from those more experienced than myself.

I just shoot mine and shoot it a lot.
Mine took a heck of a lot of pellets to settle down and shoot good, but it now shoots pretty good a year later..lol
I giess about all i do for it is wipe it down time to time and now and then pull the stock wipe/ clean , inspect ,and lightly oil moving parts of the cocking arm action.
Pretty much issue free from new out of the box / near 0 maintenance i guess.
Oh, if wood stock maybe check tighting of it screws till it's settled in.. the "plastic" stock like mine never a one come loose unless i do it. With wood gamo or any other brand id just check along the way..

Update on Gamo Mach 1 Bonecollector;
Have now gone thru a 500 tin of Crossman 14.3 gr. The gun shoots as good now as when it was new, with good accuracy only limited to my inherent shakiness. The most POI effects seem to be whether I pull the the trigger softly or simply aim and pull. It seems my better accuracy comes from pulling quickly when I'm "on target", but that is mitigated by my lack of steadiness of hold.
The cocking action sure is a beast, but no problem for me as it is really good excercize.
Been practicing on targets set at 33 yds and 50 yds. And if course a couple of errant crows that got in the way!
I love the very refined wooden stick.
This Gamo whisper Mach 1 .22 cal. Bonecollector so far is very consistent and reliable.

I'm with Deeco, just shoot it (a lot, Lol). Wipe the exterior metal down with gun oil/ protectant of your choice now and then, or after being out in wet conditions. I use Ballistol on my airgun metal bits (barrel exterior, bores, outer receiver, etc.) but have used Remoil also.
I don't recommend putting anything down the transfer port, including chamber lube/pure silicone oil (causes more issues than it solves, in my opinion). The synthetic piston seals just don't need much lubricant (and usually come very lubed from the factory).
Gamo guns don't have much for the user to adjust or tinker with. Just shoot and enjoy. There are things that could be done for the trigger pull, but the CDT triggers are probably the better option, if you want to go that route.
Enjoy the gun, sounds like a good one.

Good deal... I shoot the crosman cphp 98% of the time. 2% what ever handy when the cphp are out of stock .
Ya, when i start getting bad shots i know oys due to everything else's fault other then my own. Its never me the shooter, right?😜
Next gamo im going to try a outlet gun/referb... Im now waiting on that hunter extreme pro .22 to pop up cheap and be in stock if it gets a listing. In stock is that hard part of outlet guns.
