I recently got an RWS Meisterschutze, the included scope is failing(the reticle is rotating in the tube), so I’m looking for possible replacements. I’m considering Hammers, and Rex so far. I know these are low cost scopes, but I’m not looking for fancy, I’m looking for durable. Can anyone confirm if these scopes have a good reputation on springers? Can you recommend another $50-$80 scope that will be durable?
That’s a nice choice Richard, I could see that on an AAS200 or a 12 ftlb Daisy 599 as my bucket list gun.Umarex hasn’t replied to my email, so I’ll call them tomorrow to see if they will send me another scope. If they give me a problem I’m leaning toward the Hammers 4-12.
I sent my inquiry to Umarex Friday evening, and got a reply early this morning. They emailed a form, and asked me to fill it out and return with the scope, so they can ‘take care of me’. So I guess I’ll be out of commission for a little while, I’ll be sure to keep this thread updated.
Mike M. at Flying dragon is quite honest in that some Rex scopes an not for use on springers so read the description. I have one on mt XS60-C and the quaity for the price is awesome! That said, the Hammer's 4-12X40AO scope has been very good to me mounted on a "stout" springer. I got mine from Amazon for $80.There is a member here who reports getting 7 of them destroyed, but I do not remember who or on what gun.
That was you Tim!Sorry I could not remember you from the context of this thread...What guns did you have them mounted on?Mine is on a QB-58 and holding up fine.
