Research the warranty and the company your buying it from. The scope should be air gun rated so if service or replacement is needed your covered.
I have a CP 4x16x44 on my 125 sniper and my Trail XL, the 125 has around 2,000 shots and the XL has close to that. Both scopes have worked fine for me. I'm not even sure they sell this model still? These are not the same CP model as wally world sells, but I have one of those also...4x16x40 on my normal Trail. Seems that the better model Hawk scopes have held up well on the magnums for most also.Use good quality rings and keep the scope as low as possible. The higher the scope is off the rail the more whiplash effect it will see. I use Weaver Tactical rings and the end bell just clears the tube. A good mount that absorbs shock would also help.
I have 15 spring guns and have tried just about every scope under $500.00. Now almost all of them have Hawk Air Max scopes in Sports Max rings.
