I use a 4x 100 yard parallax Vantage scope at ten yards on my HW50 all the time. It's a little blurry indoors where the light is dim but it will shoot single pellet sized round hole five shot groups. I also use it from there to 100 yards where I plink beer cans. I absolutely love the set up for general use. I can switch from target to target, up and down the range without touching a single scope adjustment. The only downside is the reticle is a little thick for me for shooting precise groups past 30. It's a great squirrel and feathered pest gun out to 40 or 50 yards. I like it so much, I bought a 3-9×40 100 yard parallax Vantage for my 177 HW95.Parallax is never an issue for me. I just trained myself to look down the center of the scope. Ymmv
