Nice. I appreciate how much you put into this. I thought I was the only person working out the Diamondback
I forgot to mention SKS rifle slings are what works on these. I got my vintage sks sling from Amazon for about 11 bucks.
I lay my gun on my forearm with my hand on a tree.
Tom, Nice write up and shooting with the Diamondback. I don't own one myself but have two sibling (NP Elite) models in .177 and .22, both strong shooters. With the Diamondback, do you have any speculations as to the use of the faux magazine? (Functional storage?)One other feature I noticed but was unsure of, was the slits in the fore end of the stock. Almost looks like It could be M-lok slots for side mount bipod use or lights and etc.. I suppose it could just be cosmetic but figured I'd mention it just incase you or anyone knew. Anyways, great thread so far.
Tom, Thank you for the close up photos. I wasn't sure if the faux magazine had a detachable portion, interesting it's just molded in. The stocks fore end looks solid enough, though I best not speculate too much (gets me in trouble, Lol). Thanks again, take care.
The faux magazine works pretty well for putting your hand exactly where it should be every time. I hold the Diamondback just ahead of it so that part of my palm touches it and pull the stock in slightly snug. Really tightens the groups. The sound report must be pretty low as well because even when I’ve missed a squirrel they didn’t “get outta Dodge” just adjusted and continued on with squirrel business
Congrats on your Diamondback Tom!!Nice offhand shooting with it too.
Hi Tom, nice shooting, I like looking at your photos reminds me of when I lived up north.
