Following along. Looking forward to the results. Learning some stuff about Daisy’s. That’s some trophy deer in the background.
If I didn't already have a Combro cb-625, I'd probably order something like this. It seems like I'm always wanting to check velocities at night when my Caldwell won't work.ACETECH AC5000 Airsoft Gun Speed Tester BBS Chronograph https://a.co/d/9Rral13

I just realized you said AC6000 and not 5000. Let us know how it works. I might have to pick one up if you like it. My Combro doesn't have Bluetooth so I have to write everything down when I use it.
Hey Patrick,You have communicated so well what I have been putting together in my head as well. Im starting to think the juice is not worth the squeeze for a 1925. I don't have a chrony but it seems there's little, if any gain in penetration on my 822 vs 1925. I've tried 20 grain FTT's all the way up to the 30 grain Barracuda and nothing is penetrating this insulated cookie tin I'm shooting. It pokes through the front but can't make it out the rear. My barrel is sealed (construction adhesive), very low tech but it works. The bolt is the 1922 bolt. I have however replaced the two o rings with two of the smallest Viton o rings from the Harbor Freight kit. I had to file the bolt a little to widen the slot but they fit really well. If I have the rifle unassembled and dry fire while holding the bolt in place with my thumb it seals perfectly. Assembled when I fire with pellet in the chamber the pressure pushes the bolt out of battery slightly and I get air in my face. Seems if I figure a way to make the bolt stay in battery then that problem is solved. It's a fun project and keeps me busy most evenings but it's getting to the the point where its more frustrating than fun. At 25 feet im having accuracy issues with multiple pellets. Right now I'm telling myself it's either because of the bear of a trigger or the air leak from the bolt. I think my favorite conversion is the 880 to 22 conversion. Those 19 grain Crosman domes ring the steel pretty hard and Ron's trigger makes it a joy to shoot!
While discussing the possibility and cost of "drop-in" 22 barrels for 880s and 1977s the idea was brought up for a 25 cal. The best source for donor barrels I could find are the FX barrel liners. The OD is close to the Daisy barrel for the 22 cal. https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/fx-stx-pellet-liner-a-outer-diameter.419106/.The OD for the 25 cal is right at 9mm or 0.354". https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=174653.0I'm going to fit a 25 cal barrel to a 1977. https://www.pyramydair.com/product/fx-stx-superior-liner-600mm-25-caliber?a=9557The 1977 barrels are 20-11/16" or 525mm so I ordered the 600mm 25 cal barrel liner. It's a pre-order as they are outta stock at the moment. I'll cut it to length then work the valve body and barrel breach end to a fit. I don't think the factory probe is going to work so I'm thankful we have Mr. Ron. If all goes well and he's willing I'll send the gun to him with an aluminum bolt to make a custom probe. The 1977 can make 25 FPE as a 22. I'm hoping we can see 30 FPE in a 25 cal 1977.The goal is to get a 25 caliber H&N Baracuda Pellet at 30.86 grains to 660 FPS.
