My R1 which was terribly oversprung rattled some debris loose in two Airmax 3-9x40 scopes . I don't really blame the scopes. The gun was just violent it even broke a Dampa mount!

A little less than two weeks ago I sent back the two Airmax scopes. Today I received two brand new Airmax scopes. I removed a little more spring to help the new Airmax scopes survive. It's still pretty harsh but it's making 19.9 fpe.

Oddly during the last two weeks I've been running a 3-9x40 Vantage AO on it as I worked out the gun. That scope never should have survived the gun that blew up two Airmax scopes and the Dampa mount. Somehow it has.

Anyway I wanted to post that Hawkes warrantee is excellent and I'm happy they replaced the scopes with no questions asked.
