I got to hold a compact and full length today and they are mighty nice guns
Lucky you ! The EVOL 15" in .22 and the Revere in .22 have been the two guns I can't stop thinking about. The price is steep on the EVOL but it looks like it can deliver. I hope it works out for you, I will watching for updates !
I owned the 15" standard version and now have the Mini .22. Fantastic guns. The Mini fits my needs better size wise. Just top notch guns you won't regret it! Anything specific you'd like to know?
Great to hear! I am eagerly waiting to get my hands on it and start sending lead down range. I do have a couple questions, does the stock have to be completely removed to access the hammer spring? And how well does the moderator/shroud system work?
How does the AAA compare to other $1000+ guns like Daystate, FX, Brocock or Taipan? Anyone upgrade from one of those to an American Arms? And if so, why?

And how well does the moderator/shroud system work?Yes the chassis or whatever you'd like to call it, essentially it is a chassis, does need to be removed. There's a set screw holding the adjuster in place. However once done one can actually loosen it so the set screw isn't doing anything and just use vibratite. Then it can be accessed with just butt stock removed. However only if you want to change the HS setting frequently. The shroud system works great. What model did you get? The 15" or Mini? I had one of the first 15" versions, second actually that I knew of and that one did well at 30fpe. I now have a newer Mini which I bought used and that has updated LDC innards and is same noise level out the 10" barrel at same power level. Super impressed with it.
I had to check out the sale on AOA website and was kinda glad they didn't have the .22 Long/HP/Slug version discounted. Not that I'd want it for slugs, but for heavy .22 pellets. It's one of few guns that I would consider replacing my current high power .22 with. Had it been discounted I might have been in trouble saying no!
They truly are an upgrade. No other airgun can compare in build quality. Just on another level. And I've been a big Taipan fan for years. It is an upgrade in quality even and ruggedness. You get what you pay for even though it's a steep price.
Thankyou for that info Dillon. I have had fx guns for a couple years now and while I love how externally adjustable they are with so many options for projectiles, I also get tired of playing with it. One of the things I miss dearly about my daystate huntsman is that I just pick the gun up and it shoots the same every shot with no adjustments to mess with. The EVOL seems like a middle ground between those two platforms. I purchased the 15" version, and im looking to tune it to shoot NSA 20.2 grains around 900 fps. Once it gets there(and assuming the accuracy is there) I won't be messing with it. I'm hoping I can get 40+ shots at that power level, and it sounds like I shpuld get well in excess of that. I want my hunting gun again that I pock up and is spot on every time. Also good to know about the moderator system. I do not need it to be mouse fart quiet, just knocked down a bit is fine.
Well this statement sure got my attention. Having now looked, I do like what I see. I do look forward to hearing more about how yours shoots, and I hope all goes well with the purchase.

I'd expect at least 50-60 shots on a very conservative guess I'd say at the 4000psi fill. I tuned my 15" to 30fpe with 18gr pellets. Dropped reg from 1900psi to 1500psi. From 4000psi to 1500psi I got about 110 shots per fill.My mini is at 890fps with the 16gr FX pellets. Gets about 40 shots there. Shoots NSA 20.2gr very very good. Shoots them 100fps slower at 790fps but is at the same fpe.Quote from: AlanMcD on July 03, 2022, 05:47:01 PMWell this statement sure got my attention. Having now looked, I do like what I see. Worth the price tag. Tom makes excellent guns.
WOW!!! I Have been considering one as well. The formidable price is a consideration for me though!! Enjoy and keep us posted. It's great to see US companies in the quality airgun market!
