After further review, I may have posted this in the wrong gate... $300 a year could infact, be airgun related..
Quote from: avator on March 24, 2023, 11:36:53 AMAfter further review, I may have posted this in the wrong gate... $300 a year could infact, be airgun related.. Well. If that's the case then the $107 I spent for outlet covers for the backroom could be AG related.Since what I spend on the backroom allows me to equal AG related stuff in a "quid pro quo" agreement with SWMBO.
The 95 Chevy Van that was abandoned here my son-in-law bought and it is time to get it to Montana soon, so... Yesterday we did an oil change, and got the brakes working on the van and discovered it needs the high pressure power steering hose too so, that will get done today. The previous owner had taken the back brakes apart and and drained the brake fluid because he didn't know what he was doing. His plans are to covert it to a lifted 4x4 with 35" tires. He already has the parts needed to do so. He has lots of experience in custom auto fabrication. He is going to paint it two tone with tinted bed liner outside and put all the fancy work on the interior that is rough currently. He has a square body 4 door dually that he converted to a diesel 4x4 a couple of years ago. He has worked as an auto tech, and as a diesel mechanic in the past before becoming heavy equipment operator. I just am helping him when he needs things since I know where my tools are. I am doing small stuff like, I fixed the driver side electric window and got most the lights working too, it just need one new high beam bulb now. Today it will get a good engine and interior cleaning, new cap and rotor since he already has them, but honestly it is purrs like a kitten already. It amazes me that we have only found one chewed wire because there were rodents inside of it, the dog house was left off for about two years.

I would imagine the engine it has is a bit of a dog, but reliable. Should be based on the LT series blocks.
Turbos and superchargers help lol.
Quote from: Insanity on March 25, 2023, 12:52:59 PMTurbos and superchargers help lol.I think those TBI engines are pretty easy to setup for a turbo, but the van engine bay is pretty cramped. A diesel would be fun!
I can only imagine how his heart must have sunk when he first saw that car, not knowing if there was anyone in it.... Do you think they just decided to push it over the side there to hide it?...Jesse
