I'm a life long shooter and getting into more air/spring shooting, I live in the Kansas City area and don't know of any indoor shooting matches in the area...I'm sure there is, but i haven't heard of any yet...I don't know if the Bullet Hole host such an event or not..If anyone knows of any let me know.

any other members here from kansas??? I live in Hutchinson and have been thinking about trying to get a "Plinkathon" going! sounds like fun......

Hutchinson? That's where I grew up and I'm there quite often. Come to Wichita on a Wednesday night, we shoot every week.

wish I could go to wichita and shoot on wed nite but I work 430pm to 530 am mon-fri.
im trying to get hunting license now( not sure due to back child support issues) maybe we could go squirrel hunting or bunny poppin?? Pm me and I will give ya more info ph# and such.

New to air guns… Been a shooter most of my life but though BB guns were for kids – that is until I found a used Gamo – I am impressed.
I live north of the river in Gladstone and currently know of no place to shoot indoors or out other than my basement. The Gamo sounds somewhat like a .22 so am a little timid on shooting outside in the back yard.

Im located in hutchinson kansas, I started an airgun repair business here and am just gettin it underway... soon as i can find a place to put on a shoot i will post here. may be a bit as my dad is having health problems and i Just moved.

I did find an indoor range that will allow airguns and I shot there yesterday for the first time – I also joined the range so will shoot more often. The owner is open to hosting matches but at this point I know of no one else in the NKC area. I did locate a fellow in the Overland Park area who has a private range and they get together and shoot and he invited me to join them on Saturday but being a holiday we have family events planned so had to decline but will hook up with them in the next couple weeks. There is a county supported outdoor range in Parkville, about 10 miles from where I live, I’ve shot (.223) there once before but have not ask about airguns.
My goal yesterday was to get sighted in at 25 yards for the varmints in my back yard, they have gotten wise to the “simper in the upstairs window” and do not come into the deadly 10 yard perimeter, what my SO calls the “Dead Zone” so my shots must be a little longer – hey just that much more precision in the shooting!!
Hope your dad is doing okay – we’ve been through losing both of our mothers and my SO’s father is now in a nursing home which really not worthy…

I grew up in Arlington, SW of hutch and am in Salina. Interested in whatever. Lets shoot..

I live just a mile southeast of the Hutchinson Airport. I made a small range on our HOA's property for our members to shoot their pistols. We can't shoot center fire rifles but air rifles and .22 rim fires and center fire pistols are fine. Also, metal targets aren't allowed for fear of ricochets reaching the homes around the lake. The back stop is a giant pile of sand. I can invite guests as long as I am with them.
We could have some weekend fun this summer as we could camp and fish right next to the lake and range.
Right now it's 9°F and the lake is steaming and because of the thousands of geese, there is a slight roar coming from the water. I expect it to freeze over tonight as all of the local ponds are already frozen. This will be the earliest it has ever froze.
Any way, toss that around in your heads as it could be a cheap weekend of shooting fun.

I'm in Wichita, have family in Hutch. I'd be game for some camping, fishing and shooting when the weather comes back around.

Wow, summer finally came after winter. I am looking forward to hosting a fun shoot this summer at out HOA's range. We do have to follow the HOA rules so we don't have the neighbors calling the sheriff or the president of the association.
I have never been to any air rifle shoots so this will be mostly shooting at targets unless others have a better plan. We will have an opportunity to shoot the pond sliders that invaded our lake and any rabbits you see. They are destroying any trees that we plant. We also have largemouth bass, plastic worms/crayfish are best lures, and a few catfish.
I have plenty of primitive camping places near the range in the shade and larger spots if you have a camper. There is no electricity or bathrooms, if we have enough attendants we can rent a port-a-potty. I live just outside of Hutchinson, KS. There is a YMCA in town as well as Dillons, Walmart, Kmart, Home Depot, Lowes. There is a truck stop 5 miles away that may have showers, but I have never been in there. I have septic problems so my bathrooms are not available.
I have to get my roof done before I can make plans for a weekend. It would be in July before I can be available. More details later.

Hello Kansas Airgunners, I live a few miles east of Wichita. Would love to hear about anyone getting a shooting group together. My summer may be pretty busy this year, got a few remodeling jobs in the works. My collection is limited to spring pistons. I haven't made the jump into the PCP world yet.

I think you are neighbors with my aunt and uncle. hahahaha. Small world! They are the Redds. they live on the opposite side of the road but yeah.. we'll have to get together and sling some lead. They are pretty avaid deer hunters too so go chat em up a bit. They're good people.
