Guess they are all out hunting bears.  I am not in Montana but my buddy lives in the NW corner in Eureka.  Wish I were there.  I hate it when no one replies to a shout out.  Even though this Ohio boy now lives in CA it doesn't mean I have forgotten manners or kindness.  So Hello at long last.  And no, this isn't an echo.

Born and raised in Montana and I would love to come shoot with you. But..
I now live outside Seattle.
I'm sure there must be some guys on here in your neck of the woods.

Dan:

I am in Montana 1-2 times/year.  Usually go to fly fish the lakes outside of West.  Used to shoot ground squirrels near my cabin @ the Reynold's Pass bridge area.  So many vacation homes were built around me I cannot shoot them there any more.  Keep trying to get my buddy who lives in Billings to go PD shooting, but it never seems to happen.  Currently shooting rock chucks and ground squirrels in Oregon.  Getting interested in shooting USBR with my Daystate MCT

Are you interested in getting together to shoot?  If not, do you have any suggestions about shooting areas?  Tried Wisall and Ringling areas, but only a few critters, they may have been shot out.  Wasn't even worth taking the gun out of the truck.

I live in Billings and love target practicing in my back yard. I am unable to do much walking so enjoy being able to do something at home.

I know this thread has been pretty inactive but i just recently started to be an active member here. Dan I live in the bitterroot valley in Hamilton. It seems there are not allot of Montana airgun shooters or they are all hermits who hide in a cave ;D

There is at least one air gunner up the road from you in Corvallis.  His name is Dave.

I know this because he had his R9 tuned by the same tuner who did my Diana 34 and HW50S.

We expect to be coming through Hamilton on our way to Polson in about a month.  We are the Camp Hosts on Finley Point SP again this season.....or so we've been told.  Ain't seen no paper yet.   >:(

We've been aboard Finley Point SP since the end of April.  I reckon there

We've been aboard Finley Point SP since the end of April.  I've not heard from any air gunners between the Bitterroot and Kalispell, so I reckon there ain't many?

  Hi Dan..
My name is Jim, and although I'm not "currently" in MT.... I will be moving back (just away, temporarily), hopefully early next spring... but to what area of MT... not exactly sure yet... but will be "in the west end" of the state, either the NW (re:N.Fork River valley, Thompson Falls area, etc) or to the SW.... in your area.

I just got into the airguns in 2013, and my wife is just now getting into it, with a couple of AG's of her own (Benji Disco, with TKO and scoped & MM Fully Tuned XS12 & scoped, both in .22 cal.).

Would love to meet some new friends who "Really" enjoy the sport of Air Guns & shooting thereof (-vs- "ho hum, I'm bored... guess I'll go shoot my airgun for a little while",  type of "airgunners").... once we get back there, and looking for a place to live, with serious air gun aficionados living in close proximity, would definitely be cause for consideration.    : )

I am recently retired (as is my wife), so... we're Not in the "prime of our youth"....... or, maybe we Are !!   : )

Anyway, would love to hear from you (Dan_House)... or, anyone in the western half (the Best half - lol) of MT. who is at least "somewhat" seriously into the sport, and collection of Air Guns.        I Will be checking back on here, at least several times a week,  so it won't be long before I reply back to anyone.      Thanks and take care.

Montana ... The first place I heard the term, "Bourbon and Branch".   ;D

Perhaps there should be a 'sticky' for new members?

Members Map - https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=962067 (https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=962067)
No Registration - Just Your Zip Code

Now, if you're worried about your 'collection' or the gub'mint ... Just use the address of your favorite "watering hole"!    ;)

Cheers,
Smoketown

We don't see Dan in here too often, mostly catch a post every so often over on the yellow.
His GTA Bio has him last visiting in February 15 ....

Send him a PM and he should get an E-mail notification where you can make note of some feedback to his original thread   ;)
