Gamo Wasp Maxxim disassembly problems.

Hello. I’m trying to install a grt-4 trigger into my gamo. When I remove the rear pin and release the spring compressor the action only moves 1/4 in. And stops. I insured the screw was removed from the top of the rail and there is only one king pin. I tried tapping the action without any luck. Any ideas?

Could it have anything to do with the safety lever?

I don't know Gamo at all. Crosman guns are held together by a cross pin and a bolt. The bolt is the anchor point for the rear stock screw Investigate something like that. It does seem odd it would move a quarter inch and then stop, though.

I have the same rifle and installed the tuna trigger. It's been about a year since I had it apart.
Had no problems just followed the instructions exactly. I'm sure you have the bear trap linkage disconnected and slid out. There is hardly and preload at all on the Piston and it does only move about a 1/4 of a inch. Should just pop out. In the instructions there in mention of a screw that has to be backed out 4 turns to get the trigger out. I didn't have to do that. Just make sure the safety insnt hung up.
Thats about all the info I have. Good luck

Nez,
There is probably a burr or something holding the trigger assembly in. Did you remove the pin that goes through the trigger assembly block, once it is out and the screws from the rail are removed the trigger assembly should slide right out.
