Dave,Your Sheridan SS and your Crosman have exhibition grade walnut, the best I've ever seen on factory guns ever! Thanks for sharing, love looking at your pic's.Andrew
Wow and another one up your sleeve, that too is the best wood, this one then is original yes?
@45flint Before photobucket went down I was looking to see if other CG's had the checkering but didnt see any so your probably right. Whoever did it did a nice job though and the stock on your 102 is beautiful. It's funny I never put a priority on gunstocks until I got the Sheridan A and I needed to get a gun rack or mount for it. The antique store didnt have either but I left with hand made gun cabinet and base for $100 and then I had to fill it up . Didnt seem right to fill it with synthetic stocks and generic beech and it's much cheaper to find old airguns with nice stocks then it is to get firearms and new airguns with nice walnut. Still dont have a rack or mount for the Sheridan lol.
Leonard's would work great if he used the "image" button.

I've been waiting to find a BS to go with my nicely wooded SS. This one was part of a lot on ebay but I was able to get the seller to sell it seperatley. Wood is pretty nice and the guns finish is almost perfect. Needs to be resealed so hopefully I'l have time to do it soon and shot some now that it's finally cooled off here in TX
