We are in the process of reorganizing GTA Forums. We are adding new gates to hopefully make it more user friendly in finding what you are looking for. While we are moving stuff around you will see old dates of threads in the gates we use now. Please bear with us, we should have the new areas set up shortly and you will again have access to all the information, new and old. It's a LOT of information to shuffle so please stay tuned.

Kudos to the people making this happen - it is a heap of work, no doubt.

I'm seeing new Gates replacing the old ones - brands / makes instead of countries of origin.

My question is this:

Do smaller brands get their own gates, too, and if not, where will posts about them go?

FWB and Walther have made tons of airguns, alongside Weihrauch and Diana. Many guys here have guns by the first two.

BSA and Webley have made tons of airguns, alongside Air Arms. Many guys here have guns by the first two.

Kral, Ekol, and Aselkon make tons of airguns, alongside Hatsan. Many guys here have guns by the first three.

etc.

A great thing about the old German, British, Turkish etc. Gates was the fact that all makes within a country of origin had their home, even if some brand had only a couple of entries per year. Not so easy to tell by a newcomer where to find what, I agree.

So, are there going to be a Gates for all the airgun brands mentioned above and more?

I can’t say that the rhyme or reason of it have appeared to me yet.

But I’m generally regarded as someone who is always a day late and a dollar short.

I suppose the scheme of it all will eventually become apparent to me.  The whole computer thing boggles me!

Everything is working for me. Only interesting oddity is that some of my very old posts are POPPING back up as unread. I expect that is because they are being moved around?
This is NOT A COMPLAINT!  It has allowed my to find some long forgotten posts & information I was LOOKING FOR!

Regarding LGU and FWB (throw in Anschutz as well), there is a long trail of posts about them still in the german gate.  Having begun at the beginning, been working backwards in time moving the diana and hw posts to their new gates.  So you can find the trail of those brands in the earlier posts for now.  Not sure where they'll ultimately land, but they are still there to be found in the german gate if you are looking for them.
