In a final attempt to make her a 70fpe slugger I ordered NSA in 31.2x.218 and 27.5x.218 I have the 27.5x.217 and they group about a dime to a nickel at 25yards...MOS but not clover touching. I also had a .217x27.5 fall out the breach in extreme cold weather so .218 should be about right and tighten up the groups. 4

Back Room / Re: So if you didn't do anything airgun related what did you do today?« Last post by Rabbit\Squirrel Killer on Today at 10:48:32 PM » I met my older brother at our place in town, he is going to "rent to buy".
Now we have to get everything cleared out in the next couple weeks. That means less sorting/selling and more dump runs. The rent and his taking over utilities will help my situation and if/when he does buy it better yet. He will be renting for about 2/3rds of market value so that will help him too. ![]() All the pressure to move so quickly isn't good for him right now, terrible timing with his wife's advanced cancer. :'( She is in bed 90% of every day. :'( I swept the car port while I was there, it was full of Magnolia leaves. 7

Still waiting on the riser piece. Plus work has been *(&^ this week. On ammo choice I have a wide range to choose from ranging from 153gr to 240 gr. Getting out to test has become a real hassle lately. Accuracy is king though. Looking forward to taking the big bores out this summer. I do still have a place where I can chrony, I built a backstop last year and it took five shots from the bulldog and five from the m50 pistol. So I could chrony and then I will be ready when the nicer weather comes.Would love to see the Chrono on the Bulldog....looking at getting my first Big Bore AG before "Primative" season here in GA AG are allowed.....less PB weekend warriors in the woods :-) 9
Back Room / Re: What’s your favorite knife?« Last post by bantam5s on Today at 10:43:09 PM »Remember. You can remove jewelry and no one knows you have a piercing. Tattoos are for ever and nothing says “po buckra” quite like a bad tattoo. If you get a sentimental tattoo that's one thing, but the first tattoo my dad got was a Hawaii sunset because it was in the book and looked kind of cool. He also got a shark tattoo this same way which he later realized that the artist didn't completely finish. The rest of his tattoos are personal and mean something, but he's pretty much stuck with those 2 lame random tattoos which don't mean anything to him. He has no interest in sharks, and has never been or desired to visit Hawaii. Then there's my brother who got a tattoo of the name of a dog my grandmother had who died when we were little kids and who he never really saw very often. This tattoo was done by a friend of a friend who didn't really know what they were doing and almost spelled the name wrong. By the way this is my most recent knife purchase. A Queen branded bird & trout knife made by Bear & son in Arkansas, 1095 and winterbottom jogged bone that I torched & dyed because it was ugly. ![]() It's not as nice as a model 85 made by Queen before they went under, but they hadn't offered them in 1095 for a long time. They're only about $60 from Smokey Mountain Knife works, and are quite nice for the money. 10

I contracted Alpha Gal several years ago so I know full well the effect it has on your life. I was lucky, my Alpha Gal went away after a year and a 1/2 but my allergy specialist told me to take every precaution I can to insure I don't get another tick bit as the allergy can be contracted all over again. If your wife is interested in a red meat substitute take a look at this website.....
https://amaroohills.com/ I bought alot of Emu and Ostrich meat off them when I had Alpha Gal. It was delicious, tasted as good as beef and the company was great to do business with. As for your new found desire to rid your yard of squirrels...... I can certainly understand your feelings. They no doubt can do great damage. I had squirrels rip through my roof shingles and damage the wood underneath in their attempt to burrow into my attic. That was a few years ago and I took care of the offending critters using my air rifles. I haven't had any "issues" with them since so we've been enjoying a backyard truce, but at the first sign of any damage to my buildings the truce will be thrown out. Jeff |
