Please forgive a personal pet peeve here...a lot of people adjust the Rekord to be too light. If the blade won’t return to the starting position when released at the end of the first stage (in other words, internal friction is overcoming the pull weight spring) that’s dangerous. Also, while it’s very easy to adjust the trigger while out of the stock, the parts have enough “slack” that it will not behave exactly the same when shooting. You will usually have a bit LESS sear engagement when actually holding back the mainspring.
Now the trouble is with the world wide web and all it's info ... you have folks screwing around that should not be !
Trick / Balance becomes this ...As the sear is set to break closer to the critical edge ... Firmer the tension spring on the intermediate link must be set to pull it back if trigger is released and no shot taken.* Set as such .. a LONG/er 1st stage pull is best.

[I've never had a misfire or anything happen with the above adjustments made to my Rekord triggers Anything that seems amiss after adjusting is usually a sign of Excess or Unnecessary Tinkering. If you usually error on the side of excess tinkering, don't do it with Kids around or anything you wouldn't want a hold in .
