Good morning!
I'm brand new here. My name's Tabi, I'm in England and I've had the same air rifle for 28 years, (I'm 40), lol.
My 12th birthday present was an SMK B2 1.77 break action air rifle from our towns rifle / shooting shop. She wasn't brand new even then. I think she was second hand even then, but she was my first air rifle and so she was the best ever created, haha. (She's called VESTA, named after my kitten at the time because they shared the same colouring on her fur and it's stock)
Anyhow. I've been doing some maintenance, resanding and new finishing of the stock, etc, and have taken her down to her parts. I've hit a snag in that I want to unscrew the barrel itself from the lower break arm but don't actually know which way it should turn to unscrew. I don't want to damage her of course so am asking for help as I can't seem to find the info online.
I can't see how to add pictures to this request so I've found my model on the justairguns site. It's listed as: SMK B2 Spring Air Rifle .177 Grooved.
Thanks guys.

Humm.... I thought the barrel was a press fit into the breach block?

Sadly the barrel does not seem to unscrew no matter how hard I try. (have tried using WD40 in industrial amounts)
Are we sure that it unscrews counter clitwise?
I'm not doubting anyone's knowledge, I simply seem to be stuck.

If this is the connection that you are trying to remove, I am sure its a press fit.
There are no threads to unscrew the barrel.
If you go to spare parts and look at ordering a new barrel you will see that the barrel and breach block come as complete assy.

Thank you! That explains my issue with removing the barrel.
I had hoped to be able to completely separate the barrel from the housing unit so that I could turn the barrel to sand it down at the end to add threading for a suppressor/screw on flash hider end piece like on my airsoft guns. No real world need I know, it was only for athetics.
That's very disappointing. Thank you though!
Kindly
Tabi.
