grumpy are you curious about the 30cal fx rifles ?

ive been watching aoa and pa for when jsb releases the 30cal ammo for them, figured once the ammo showed up it wouldnt be to long before the rifles showed up at aoa

the hand pump looks cool and its a great idea but idk how easy or comfy thats going to be pumping to 3000psi, also it looks like its the airtube and pump setup from the fx indy is that what its from ?

Thats the pump attached to my Fx independence.
For me Pumping to 3K is a cinch. A larger air tube would be a pain in the butt.
It is a 4 stage pump.

I wonder how you're supposed to hold the pump when you're using it? Looks like it might be easy to get your fingers caught in it.

id like to see a nice foot operated pump for feild use i think that would be handy to have. could even design it so you could switch off from hand pump to foot pumping when the pressure starts getting up there

That looks like the perfect pump to bring along while hunting, or any event where you may not be near a tank. I will be looking out for this one.

how are you supposed to hold this thing? it looks like an unfinished foot pump.  how much does it cost?

Its a combination between the Indy unit and the normal stirrup pump.

I have not tried it yet but Fredrik told me that its very easy to operate, it is however slow.

Each pump will handle 120 cc of air, compared to the normal 220 cc of air from the classic 3-stage stirrup pump.

I guess it will take twice as long time to fill a pressure vessel of equal size to the same pressure compared to the normal pump. The turbopump, with all valves open (until 160 Bar) will flow 300 cc.

The lack of speed is the result of the small package, keeping a comfortable low pump effort.

Unlike the larger pumps, this one is said to not increase in effort at higher pressures, just as the Indy.

MSRP is not clear yet, perhaps somewere close to the normal pump?

The calibre 30 project is ongoing, a little slower then expected due to lack of pellets. The Wolverine is also affected and is said to arrive in Aug/Sept at £1400 in the UK, small calibres first (177, 22 & 25), big calibre 30 late 12 or early 13. I presume FX wants to have their less expensive version out before that.

Sorry....forgot...

Its hold scissorlike, as you hold a manual hedge trimmer.

I guess the production version (esp in the US) will feature some kind of anti trap for your fingers (pic show prototype, finished afternoon 4/6-12).

Johnny, tusen takk for the update, I've been hoping for an easier pump for a long time. I'd love to have a foot pump too if Fredrick needs something to invent :-)  (Something like an exercise machine)

Something that fills your gun and tones your buns at the same time?

yes! Years ago I bought a Hill pump, used it once and sold it. The movement felt like an unhealthy strain on the back. But if Frederick or anyone could make a foot pump or exercise bike and harness the power we generate to fill a tank, that would be awesome.

some kind of a roving machine to be used to fill tanks would be absolutely awsome.

could even get a lazy bum like me to excersise :)

Fredrik have taken your suggestions under consideration and are now thrilled to present a new kind of pump that combine exercise, transportation and filling:

Someone should come up with a device of the kind, patented it and make a lot of bucks :)

In my searches, I have seen pumps that are mounted to what looks like a lat pulldown machine, using a cantilever action for older/lightweight folks.
